Happy Tuesday! Today’s Tuesday Tip is about searching with filters. ⁣⁣

To fast find photos, there are a few ways you can quickly filter through your photos! You can filter by:⁣⁣ ⁣
✨ Recent Imports⁣⁣
✨ Pinned searches (your recent searches or custom searches that you commonly make)⁣⁣
✨ Keywords, ratings and flagged⁣⁣
✨ People ⁣⁣
✨ Location⁣⁣
⁣⁣
There are two ways to filter a search. You can filter a search by clicking the search button and then clicking the drop-down arrow in the search box. Or you can click the filter button next to the search button. ⁣⁣

Today's Tuesday Tip is all about how you can channel newfound free time into organizing your photos! Follow these simple steps to save your future self time, money and stress. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
1. Download Mylio onto your computer from mylio.com/get-app. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
2. Select a device that has enough storage to store all your photos. Open Mylio and add this device to your Mylio account. We like @seagate external drives for this.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
3. Import photos into Mylio.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
4. Check out your imported photos in Calendar View and Map View. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
5. Go to the "People" tab in Mylio and start face tagging your photos. Mylio automatically finds photos for you to tag, all you need to do is confirm who the person is. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
6. Create albums and events to remember special occasions. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
7. Rate, flag, and label photos you want to revisit often.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
8. Add keywords to photos so that you can easily search them. ⁣⁣

Today's Tuesday Tip is all about the different import options for adding photos into Mylio! ⁣

You can import from an external drive, camera/SD card, online service, Aperture/Photos app, or copy photos from your computer. ⁣
⁣
When importing from an online service, you can import from Google Photos and Picasa. ⁣
⁣
When copying from your computer, you can maintain your existing folder structure within Mylio. ⁣
⁣
If you have photos on a mobile device that you want to merge with your current library, download Mylio and import your camera roll. Then, connect your mobile device to the same wireless network as your computer, open Mylio on both devices and let your library sync together. Make sure you are logged into the same Mylio account on both devices. ⁣

This week's Tuesday Tip is about taking portraits that pop! Great portraits should radiate personality and emotion. Read our tips below to take your photos to the next level. ⁣

1. Get to know your subject- Watch what your subject does when topics excite them and calm them. This will show you what expressions to look for while photographing.⁣
⁣
2. Choose location wisely- The mood of your portraits will differ with different backgrounds.⁣
⁣
3. Communicate with your subject- If your subject feels uncomfortable, it will show in your photos. Communication throughout the shoot is important to keep them comfortable. Be excited about the photos and let them know so that they too can get excited.⁣

4. Light your subject- Light determines whether your subject’s features are complimented, distorted or emphasized. ⁣
⁣
5. Pose when necessary- Direct your subject if they need it but pay attention to how they naturally stand and pose. By capturing their natural posture, you will capture their uniqueness. 📸: @ehiett_photo

Our smart face recognition technology automatically creates organized albums of people you love and even those you just like. The app will recognize faces with the progression of aging so whether the person is 2 years old or 20, Mylio can tell. There is also the option to manually tag, should the face not be facing the camera. If you want to further your organizational dreams, you can add keywords to any of your photos on Mylio mobile! Mylio mobile is perfect for being productive while you’re out and about. Swipe to see how to add keywords or read the description below. ⁣
⁣
Select a photo. Click the three dots in the top right corner of your screen. Click info. Scroll down to keywords. Type the keywords you want to be attached to this photo. Close out of the info panel. Now, when you search those keywords, any photos that have been tagged with those words will pop up!⁣
